There are two great attractions right behind the property – the Pitcairn Settlers’ Village is a good option to learn about the people and how the island culture evolved, while the Fletcher’s Mutiny Cyclorama is a 360-degree artistic rendering of the historical incident. Plus, the latter is one of the few surviving examples of a cyclorama, which alone makes it worth checking out.
Then, the Norfolk Island Tennis Club and the Norfolk Island Golf Club are a short walk, and a short drive away, respectively. So, if you feel like burning a few calories or improving your putting game, you know where to go. If you’re a first-timer to the island, the Kingston world heritage site is a hop and a skip away from the golf club. It’s a must-experience guided tour to get to know the island’s tumultuous history, and how the settlers struggled against inhuman odds. And a little away from Kingston area is the Emily Bay, always a great spot to relax and soak up the sun.
